Bryann & Derrick

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day and I'm feeling extra thankful this year to get to be able to do what I love doing for a living. I also get to work with the best people around that trust me to document the most special times in their lives! This was my last big event for the year and my heart is so full and grateful. 

I met Bryann a few years ago when I was living in Sun Prairie and we lived in the same building. I was having Valentine's Day mini sessions and she brought her then-two year old daughter Daylin by for photos. I fell in love with this sweet little girl instantly and have been photographing their growing family since. Last year they welcomed little Ellie and this year she asked me to photograph their small intimate ceremony where they officially tied the knot with their girls in tow. So much love and happiness! Also, don't they make the most adorable babies ever?!?! Take a peak at some of my favorite images from their day.

My Surrogate Chicago Family

If it weren't for this crazy-cute family, I wouldn't be here in Chicago today. I owe my life to them, for they let me crash on their couch month after month earlier this year. Who does that? Only the best friends ever! Thank you to my favorite Chicago family for all that you have done, and continue to do to make me at home here. I love you all with all of my heart!

Lucas, Nik & Kash - Class of 2017

I headed back to Wisconsin last weekend for a day of senior portraits with these handsome guys. They're all about to start their senior year at Oregon High School and I had so much fun getting to know them. I personally think it's not so fun having your photo taken, so I try to make my clients, especially seniors, really comfortable. We joke around a lot and I act like a big goof. You might even catch me singing or dancing just to make you relaxed. I got your back! These guys were great to work with and I can't wait to see where they head after high school.
